Custom Furniture

Mission-style side table for Kim to complement the coffee table I built for her a few years ago. Constructed from solid oak and strengthened with mortice-and-tenon construction, this is an heirloom piece. (July, 2023)
My niece’s coffee table, built from ash. The black finish is burned on then sealed with polyurethane. Commonly referred to as shou-sugi-ban, this flame treatment is eye-popping!
How much luxury can a plank add? Kim’s bathboard is made from beautiful purpleheart wood and adds a great splash of color to her tub. Throw in a spot for candles and a cutout for a wine glass and she is ready to soak!

Boxes

Accent boxes are great for a special occasion or to add interest to a corner of your room. These were built for a New Year’s Eve event.

Whether you are gifting a bottle of wine, champagne, or spirits, an accent box makes something special into something unforgettable. This is made from cedar wood.

Custom Engraving

My joy is to bring your vision to life. Whether it is a name with a special font, a declared truth, or whatever. We can work together to share your message.

Second Chances

Not all boards begin as pristine pieces of lumber. Some come from items that someone wanted to repurpose.

These two boards came from a tabletop I got at a thrift store.

When Cheryl’s antique desk couldn’t find a place in her new home, she couldn’t bear to part with it. Instead of throwing it out, we transformed it into a show-quality cutting board and a coffee table for a family member!

I grew up watching Dad build things at his workbench. He taught me life lessons disguised as woodworking. When his old workbench had to go, there was no way I could part with it. So, it was converted into a cutting board for my son, James the 3rd. The inlaid Roman number III ensures he will always remember where it came from and who it honors.

Two of my friends probably hum Rocky Top every time they pass their kitchen and wonder why, but we know. With a bit of creativity, everything is possible.

Jobs by Request

Do you even know what a deadlift jack is? I didn’t, but my brother requested this one built from 1 1/2″ thick ash and engraved with the artwork from his home gym.

Tony inherited this Lane cedar chest from his great aunt. It was built in 1948 but was nearly destroyed in a flood. 15 hours of restoration has it looking better than new!

It’s All About The Oil

Watch this raw cherry board transform as the oil is applied by my beautiful assistant. Every board is treated with food grade mineral oil and beeswax for protection and a complimentary 2 ounce tin (as shown below) is yours with every purchase so that you can keep your board looking as good as the day you bought it!
